기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 이번 기도의 포인트

1. 주현절 기간은 하나님께서 성자를 보내신 것을 기념하는 기간입니다. 주현절은 주님의 오심을 축하하는 성탄 절기와 주님의 십자가 고통을 기억하는 사순절기 사이에 있습니다. 예수님께서 탄생하시고 십자가에 못박히시기 전까지 세상에서 행하신 일들을 기억하는 절기입니다. 따라서 예수님이 땅에서 전하고자 하신 뜻을 기억하고 실천하기 위해 기도합시다.
   
   
2. 특히 이번 주일은 변화주일입니다. 하나님의 부름을 받아 사라진 엘리야가 모세와 손잡고 예수님을 뵈었듯이, 우리보다 먼저 떠난 우리의 아버지 어머니들도 그러하리라 믿습니다.
   
   
3. 설에 가족을 만나는 것이 반갑지 않은 신자들을 위해 기도합시다. 가족이 그들의 족쇄가 될 때, 해방을 주시는 주님을 기억합시다.

2. 예시 기도문

Gracious Father, 

Thank You for sending Your Son to dwell among us. Remembering Your grace, we bow before You in awe and reverence this Sunday. As we prepare for the season of solemn reflections of Lent, we find ourselves in the midst of the meaningful period. Help us remember the deeds of Jesus on earth, from His miraculous birth to His agonizing crucifixion. Lord, help us to reflect on the intentions and teachings You wished to convey through the life of Your Son.

Lord, on this Transfiguration Sunday, we recall how Elijah and Moses appeared with Jesus. May our departed fathers and mothers, who have gone before us, join in the eternal joy of Your presence just like them. Grant them peace and rest, knowing that they continue to inspire and guide us from the realms beyond.

We lift up in prayer those who may find this festive season challenging, especially those who may not find joy in reuniting with family during the Lunar New Year. Lord, we ask for Your presence to be felt among those who may experience familial tensions or feel the weight of family expectations. Provide them with the strength to break free from any chains that may bind them, just as Jesus declared liberation among familiar ties (Lk 12:53, Mt 10:35).

Heavenly Father, we seek Your guidance and strength during this challenging season. May we be mindful of the lessons and messages embedded in the narratives of Jesus' life. Grant us the grace to follow His teachings and live out His love in our daily lives.

In the name of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, we offer these prayers. Amen.
