기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 이번 기도의 포인트

1. 주현절 기간은 하나님께서 성자를 보내신 것을 기념하는 기간입니다. 주현절은 주님의 오심을 축하하는 성탄 절기와 주님의 십자가 고통을 기억하는 사순절기 사이에 있습니다. 예수님께서 탄생하시고 십자가에 못박히시기 전까지 세상에서 행하신 일들을 기억하는 절기입니다. 따라서 예수님이 땅에서 전하고자 하신 뜻을 기억하고 실천하기 위해 기도합시다.
   
   
2. 오늘 본문(사무엘상 3:1-10)에서 사무엘이 주님의 부르심에 대답한 것처럼 우리도 주님께서 주시는 소명에 순응하는 마음을 가질 수 있도록 기도합시다.
   
   
3. 우리의 몸을 위해 기도합시다. 세상 속에서 하나님의 일을 하는 것이 우리의 육신임을 기억하고, 주님께서 값을 치르고 사들인 몸(고전6:20)을 소중히 여기고 주님의 일을 위해 사용하도록 다짐합시다.

Heavenly Father, the giver of life and the creator of the world,
We humbly come before you during this season of Epiphany, a time when we commemorate the sending of your Son into the world. We remember today the deeds of Jesus on earth, from His birth to the moment He was nailed to the cross. Lord Jesus, we remember the miracles, parables, and acts of love that marked your time among us. Help us to understand and embody the purpose you had in coming to earth. As we pass this season, help us reflect on the lessons Jesus taught during His time on earth and strive to embody His teachings in our lives.

Just as Samuel responded to your call with the words "Here I am" (1 Samuel 3:1-10), instill in us a heart that willingly answers Your summons. May we be attentive to Your guidance and obedient to the missions you entrust to us. As we seek to fulfill the call you have placed on our lives, grant us discernment and courage. In times of uncertainty, may we lean on your promises, trusting that you will provide the strength and wisdom needed to carry out your will. Open our hearts to hear your voice clearly and empower us to respond with faith and obedience.

In the spirit of humility, we pray for our bodies, recognizing that they are vessels for doing Your work in this world. May we cherish and care for our bodies you have bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:12-20). We acknowledge that our physical well-being is crucial for carrying out your divine plans. Grant us the wisdom to use our bodies in service to you, investing the gifts you have given us for the greater good.

As we reflect on the significance of this season, may our hearts be filled with gratitude for the sacrifice you made, Lord Jesus. Help us to embody the teachings you shared, the love you exemplified, and the grace you bestowed upon us. In your holy name, we offer these prayers. Amen.
