기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 이번 기도의 포인트

1. 대림 기간은 주 예수 그리스도의 성탄에 앞서서 주님께서 오실 길을 예비하는 시기입니다. 예수님의 탄생을 기억하며 그를 예비하는 우리가 되도록 기도합시다.
   
   
2. 정치범들과 죄수들을 위해 기도합시다. 무고하게 투옥되었든 합당한 죗값을 치르고 있든 추운 날 가운데 고통받고 있는 사람들에게 자비의 손길을 건네도록 다짐합시다.
   
   
3. 주님께서는 약자를 들어 쓰심을 기억하며, 우리도 세상이 정한 강약에 부화뇌동하여 사람을 판단하지 않도록 기도합시다.

2. 예시 기도문

Gracious Father in Heaven, creator of all things,
We humbly bow before you as we pass this Advent, the season of anticipation. We prepare our hearts for the coming of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

As we reflect on this time of awaiting, we ask for your guidance, Lord. Help us to emulate the spirit of readiness and expectation that characterized the world before the miraculous birth in Bethlehem. May we, too, prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus into our lives in a profound and transformative way.

Lord, we are compassionate for those who are unjustly imprisoned and those who are serving sentences. Whether innocent or guilty, we pray for the comfort and mercy that can only come from Your loving hand. In the midst of the cold and the loneliness, extend Your compassionate touch to those enduring hardship and pain in prisons.

Remind us, O Lord, of Your unwavering concern for the weak and vulnerable. In a world often fixated on power and judgment, instill in us a spirit of humility and compassion. May we resist the urge to judge others based on worldly standards and instead seek to understand and love as You have loved us.

Lord, grant us the grace to see beyond the superficial divisions that society imposes upon us. Help us recognize the inherent dignity in every person, just as You do. As we approach the celebration of the birth of our Savior, may we strive to be instruments of Your peace and love in a world that so desperately needs it.
