기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 이번 기도의 포인트

1. 성령강림후 기간은 하나님께서 성령을 보내신 것을 기념하는 기간입니다. 특히 대림기간이 다가오는 이때, 행사를 준비하는 손길을 기억합시다.
   
   
2. 우리의 모습이 주님의 섭리를 이성으로 이해하려고 노력하는 바리새인(마 22:15-22)의 모습이 아닌지 반성합시다.
   
   
3. 약한 자와 병든 자에게 봉사해야 하는 직분을 잊고 집단적 이해관계에 빠져버린 의사들이 마음을 돌릴 수 있도록 기도합시다.

2. 예시 기도문

 

God almighty,

We worship you in this season of harvest and thanksgiving. We come before you today with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation. Lord, we thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to dwell among us, bringing the promise of hope and salvation.

As we approach the season of Advent, we prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, as the congregation prepares for events in Advent, let them know that they are preparing the way for the Messiah. Grant them a heart full of love and joy. Let them enjoy the process as well as the results.

Lord our God. Help us to set aside any Pharisaical attitudes or self-righteousness. And instead, let us approach you with humility and a genuine desire to understand your will. Also, help us the follow your ways and sustain your creation.

Lord, in a world often consumed by self-interest and neglect, we pray for those who are weak and suffering. We ask for your guidance and strength for those in the medical profession who may have lost sight of their calling to serve the sick and the needy. May they refocus their hearts and minds on the healing ministry they are called to, showing compassion and care to the vulnerable. Grant them an open eye that can see beyond their worldly interests.

Lord, in your infinite mercy, we ask for your forgiveness for the times when we have strayed from your path of love and selflessness. Forgive us for any moments of self-absorption and pride. Help us to be more attentive to the needs of others, especially the weak and marginalized.

We thank you, Lord, for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who brings hope, peace, and salvation to our lives. May our preparations ahead of this Advent season lead us to a deeper understanding of the love and grace. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
