기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 성령강림후 기간은 하나님께서 성령을 보내신 것을 기념하는 기간입니다. 지금도 우리 안에서 역사하시는 성령 하나님을 찬양합시다.
   
   
2. 팔레스타인과 이스라엘을 위해 기도합시다. 지도자들이 평화를 위해 일하게 인도해주세요.
   
   
3. 조급하지 않도록 기도합시다. 기도의 응답이 바로 오지 않는다고, 주님의 역사가 빨리 이루어지지 않는다고 황금소를 만든 아론의 모습과 우리의 모습이 같지 않은지 돌아봅시다.

2. 예시 기도문

Heavenly Father,

We gathered during this season of Pentecost, celebrating Your gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for sending the Spirit to dwell within us. We praise Your name for the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, guiding, comforting, and empowering us.

We come before you today with heavy hearts, thinking of Israel and Palestine. We particularly pray for those who have died and injured. Bless their souls. Give peace to each of your sons and daughters, Lord. We also remember families in the region whose members suffer in this violence and conflict. Lord, we ask that their leaders and the leader of the nations work tirelessly to find peace. Help them, oh Lord, that they in their pursuit may be led by Your wisdom and grace. We ask that you grant them the strength and resolve to bring about peace in the land from which our Prince of Peace came.

As we reflect on the impatient Aaron, fashioning a golden calf to worship, we too acknowledge our tendency to grow anxious. Lord, we acknowledge that we feel as though our prayers go unanswered or Your divine plan unfolds more slowly than our thoughts. Help us our ignorance. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and sovereign will, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways.

We seek your guidance, O Lord, to cultivate patience within us. Help us to understand that your work in our lives and in the world may not always align with our immediate desires. Grant us the faith and perseverance to continue to seek your will, even in times of waiting and uncertainty.

Heavenly Father, we offer these prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, who showed us the way of patience and trust in Your plan. We thank you for the gift of Your Holy Spirit that empowers us to follow in His footsteps. In His name, we pray. Amen.
