기도는 전적으로 하나님께 드리는 개인적인 고백이어야 합니다. 하지만 주일 대예배에서 회중을 대표하여 기도할 때에는 중언부언되지 않도록 미리 공기도문을 작성하여야 할 것입니다. 만일 다른 사람이 써놓은 우수한 기도문을 따를 때에는 그 영성을 충분히 내재화하여 자신의 기도로 만들어야 하고, 그것을 그대로 답습하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 이번 기도의 포인트

1. 주현절 기간은 하나님께서 성자를 보내신 것을 기념하는 기간입니다. 주현절은 주님의 오심을 축하하는 성탄 절기와 주님의 십자가 고통을 기억하는 사순절기 사이에 있습니다. 예수님께서 탄생하시고 십자가에 못박히시기 전까지 세상에서 행하신 일들을 기억하는 절기입니다. 따라서 예수님이 땅에서 전하고자 하신 뜻을 기억하고 실천하기 위해 기도합시다.
   
   
2. 특히 이번주에는 예수님의 겸손을 본받기 위해 기도합시다. 지식이나 믿음에 대한 자만이 다른이들을 시험에 들지 않게 하도록 스스로를 돌아봅시다
   
   
3. 우리 중에 하나님께서 세우신 목자를 위해 기도합시다. 주님께서 세우신 사람을 신자들이 충직하게 따르게 하시고 목자의 입에 주님의 말이 담길 수 있도록 기원하는 기도를 드립시다.

2. 예시 기도문

Heavenly Father,

Creator of time and space, we bow before you during this sacred time of reflection. As we commemorate the sending of your Son into the world, let us also relfect on His crucifixion as we are approaching Lent. Help us recal the events leading up to Jesus' eventual sacrifice on the cross. Lord, as we pass this season, may we remember and embody the teachings that Jesus shared during His time with us in body.

We seek your guidance, Lord. Grant us the grace to comprehend the profound significance of Jesus' earthly ministry -- His teachings, miracles, and the ultimate sacrifice that awaited Him. May we not only remember but also actively practice the principles He sought to instill within us.

Help us also to meditate on the boundless love that Jesus demonstrated for the marginalized and the inhabitants of foreign territories. As we recall His compassion and selflessness, inspire us to reach out to those on the fringes of society, extending the same love that Christ showered upon the least of these.

We lift up in prayer those among us who are in despair, feeling lost and hopeless. Lord, touch their hearts with the comforting assurance of your love. May they find solace in the message of hope that Jesus brought to the world, and may we, as a community of believers, be vessels of encouragement and support.

As we traverse through this sacred season, may the Holy Spirit rejuvenate our faith and commitment to follow the path that Jesus laid out for us. Empower us to embody His teachings and spread the light of His love to a world in need. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen..
